Although there are so many details that make up the wedding planning process, we wanted to provide you with top 10 tips that every bride should know before planning her wedding.

  1. Breathe

Wedding planning is in no way a marathon! So, it’s okay to take breaks and breathe throughout the process. it is normal to be eager and get started on booking your dream venue, consulting with vendors, and purchasing your wedding dress. However, we encourage our couples to take a deep breath and discuss with each other what their vision actually is before actually getting started. Not creating a mood board to play off when deciding vendors and decor, will have your ideas all over place and cause frivolous spending. Going over your wedding budget will definitely cause major anxiety or depression so plan efficiently so you decrease your wedding stress. So, remember to breathe and you’ll navigate your way though your wedding journey with ease.

  2. Book a Spa Day

Spa Day’s whether at a facility or at-home are essential the week before or week of your wedding. There is so much running around and thinking you will have to do, that you will definitely need a moment to recuperate from the wedding stress and get ready for bridal bliss. Sometimes you don’t need a massage at the spa, you just need the amenities! Go enjoy a nice sauna room and sweat out all of wedding stress, take a dip in a relaxing jacuzzi and think about how the big day is finally here or even just run yourself a bubble bath with some epsom salt and soak out all of the unsolicited wedding advice. Couples tend to take more photos at weddings with family members than actually eat the food they spent thousands of dollars on, which we’ve never been able to understand. So we’ve come up with a simple solution that allows the couple to still enjoy their meal without having to take home scraps, we request two take home meals based on the couples desired selection and place them in their decor boxes to ensure they home home with the couple at the end of the night.

  5. Take time to bask in the moment

Although, you may be eager to get started on your wedding planning process. Take at least 1-2 months to actually enjoy the moment. Remember, you won’t be engaged forever, but marriage is forever. If you are more of a self sufficient bride purchase a bridal buddy to help you along the way.

  7. Eat Breakfast & pack snacks

Everyone loves to eat and snack all day, but on wedding days it seems like everyone forgets to eat. The bridal party and wedding guests are too busy pre-gaming for the event and the most they probably snack on is a bag of chips and a snicker from the vending machine down the hall form their hotel room. Pre-order breakfast for you and your squad from your hotel’s restaurant, local diner, or create a breakfast charcuterie board for everyone to share. Breakfast and snacks will hold everyone over until cocktail hour which won’t be for a while, especially if the couple is hosting an evening wedding. Do not wait for cocktail hour to eat something, you are honestly doing yourself a disservice. You’ll be hangry and it will show all on your face especially in pictures and the camera will be rolling. So the goal should be to put your best foot forward.

However, that is impossible without delegating individuals to help pick up items at the end of the night. There are so many things you’ll want to delegate duties for such as: someone to ensure guests are signing the guests signing item, someone who monitors the card box, someone to usher guests and plenty more.
