It is a well known fact that Wedding Planning can be very expensive, time consuming, and/or frustrating. So, it’s totally okay to want to give up and say forget the entire event. However, when you take the proper steps when planning it can actually be a very stress-free process. My goal, as a Certified Wedding Planner, is to help my brides have fun while planning and save them tons of unwanted anger or frustration so they don’t cancel their event or become a bridezilla. The following tips will guide you and keep you focused on the big day without any hassle #BrideSquadHonor (i.e. Pinkie Promise)

  1. At the Wedding, have a basket with blank envelopes and have guests fill them out with their names and addresses. Think of the time you will be saving when sending out your thank-you cards.

  2. Write a tiny number on the back of your RSVP cards and number the guests list accordingly. This will save you so much time, especially if the name is illegible when you get the card back.

  3. Purchase or make a nice hanger for your Wedding dress. You’ll want a photo of the dress hanging by itself and next to the bridesmaid dresses.

  4. If you want an alternative way to give away your bouquet, have an anniversary dance and present it to the longest married couple.

  5. Ask your caterer to pack up food for the two of you (Bride & Groom). You might not have enough time to eat during the event and will be glad you have leftovers when you get home.

  6. Get your engagement ring cleaned before the big day for a little extra sparkle.

  7. Splurge on a new perfume! It will be a great way to capture the day’s memories. Every time you smell the fragrance, your mind will go to that special day.

  8. Invest in a professional stamp with you and your hubby-to-be’s names and address already on it. It will help cut time for all the mailing you will be doing. (I.e. save-the-date, invitation, RSVP, and thank you cards)

  9. For a modern touch, opt for food trucks at your Wedding to save money on catering.

  10. Most Wedding shoes are brand new, so rub the bottom with sand paper to de-slick the soles.

  11. Instead of licking envelopes, use a glue stick! There will be NO paper cuts or nasty after taste.

  12. On your RSVP card put a line with a song request, to ensure everyone everyone gets to hear a song the really like, which will keep the dance floor jumping.
